Hello Lovelies! I am so excited to be here at Sew Woodsy! Thanks for having me Katie. I am excited to share a fun tutorial with you today. Before we get crafting though, I thought I would introduce myself first.

I am Danielle and my home is over at Blissful and Domestic. I love to blog about sewing, crafts, recipes,home-school, etc. Basically anything that allows me to use my creative gene. I love thrift stores and re-purposing, which is mainly what you will see from me. I love taking some one’s cast offs and make them into something fantastic. So in a nutshell I am a crafting Mom, who loves to blog and share with all my blogging friends.
Now that you know a little bit about me…how about we get crafting? Today I am sharing a fun simple Fall Craft to add some cuteness to your home.
As I mentioned before I love re-purposing, so everything I used for this project, I already had on hand.PhotobucketHere is what you will need:1 glass plate
white acrylic paint
paint brush
scrap fabric and lace
glue gun

I started out with an old glass plate. It is from a set we don’t use anymore.

I painted it white and let it dry over night.
(depending on the original pattern of the plate
you may need more than 1 coat of paint. I did 2 coats)

Once my paint was dry I added some vinyl.
I used the word “Fall” printed out in brown vinyl.

I applied the vinyl

I am loving it already!

Now I knew I needed to add some extra cuteness.
Right now it is just a bit to blah.

I busted out my scraps of fabric and lace trim.

I then made three rosettes in different colors.

I added some lace.
Also place and check to see if you like it, before gluing.

Once I liked it I glued my lace in place.
I bunched it when glueing.
I then added my rosettes

Then I was done!

Now I have another new Fall Decoration for my house.

Thank you again for having me Katie! It was so fun sharing a craft with you ladies and gents today. I hope you guys come and visit and say hi.
I’d love to have you.

  1. OH WOW! That plate looks so much better! ~ Barbara

  2. Thanks so much for having me Katie. The post looks awesome!

  3. Very cute! I love it when I have everything on hand for the tutorial. There are so many ways you can go with this idea too. I am thinking of the text “Frost” with snowflake embellishments for winter. Good to meet you, Danielle. Thanks for the intro, Katie!

  4. Great craft, Danielle! Love a good upcycle craft!
