Christmas Pillow Packages

Last week on the Bowdabra blog I shared a simple way to spruce up your front porch for the holidays. Add ribbon and bows to your outdoor pillows and transform them into “pillow packages”. I’m going to show you how I transformed the long green rectangular pillow into a package.

Supplies:

Red sparkly Toile (I cut multiple 12 inch long pieces prior to starting the project).

Bowdabra

Scissors

1.  Cut a 24” piece of toile and fold it in half. Lay it into the Bowdabra. You’ll have a loop at one end and two loose pieces at the opposite end.

2. Place one piece of toile into the Bowdabra (make sure it’s centered).

3. Repeat step 2 until your desired fullness.

4. Scrunch down the toile with the Bowdabra wand. While the bow is still in the Bowdabra, thread the two loose ends of the toile through the loop at the other end. Pull the toile tightly while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Gently pull the bow out of the Bowdabra. Separate the two loose ends of the toile and bring them around to the back of the bow.

Next, cut a piece of toile long enough to wrap length and width around the pillow. Tie a knot. You’ll notice I left the extra toile showing. *Not pictured: attach the bow to the middle of the package & fluff!

Now display your pillow packages proudly. If you’d like to know how I created the gold bow package please visit the Bowdabra Blog for my step-by-step directions.

Disclaimer: I was not provided supplies for this post nor was I compensated. I blogged about this product because I love it!
