Welcome to day 5 of the 12 Days of Handmade Ornaments. I’m sharing a very easy and quick ornament to make at home for your very own tree. I guest blogged over on the Bowdabra blog last month, and I can’t wait to share it with all of Sew Woodsy’s readers today.
If your anything like me you have more ribbon than you ever know what to do with. I even save ribbon year after year from Christmas packaging. I can’t imagine waisting the beautiful ribbon after just one use! It’s not good for the environment and let’s face it… ribbon is not cheap!
I invite you to take a look at this easy tutorial on the Bowdabra blog, and make one of your own!

Hi! We are a husband and wife DIY team who documents our journey of homeownership one tutorial at a time. We hope you'll follow us on our journey!

The ornament came out so pretty, Katie! Great use for scrap ribbon.
Thanks!
I like that plaid-type ribbon in the glass ball ornament!!! Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s!!!
Thank you for joining us each day!
Love! I think it’s so cool of the awesome things you can do with those clear glass ornaments! Oh, and I don’t throw ribbon away either…;)
The clear ornaments come in glass or plastic. I always use plastic for fear one would break and hurt us or our dog! Glad to hear I’m not the only ribbon hoarder out their!
this looks soooo cute
nice and thrifty idea
