Link Party

I mentioned yesterday that I would share a few of my birthday gifts with everyone–that’s right. I celebrated a birthday last weekend and had a blast doing so. Last week, I mentioned that I was sort of dreading my birthday, but I’m so grateful I was able to surround myself with tons of friends–it made growing a year older a tad bit less painful!

My parents bought me a Cricut Mini. 3 years ago they bought me the personal and I love it and still use it but I really needed a larger die-cutting machine. This machine will cut shapes from ¼” up to 11 ¼” on a 8 ½” x 12″ cutting mat. I was totally about to jump ship and move to team Silhouette; however, the mini was on sale for $100 and since I already own 501 cartridges (ok I might be exaggerating) I figured I would stick with this. Oh, and did you know they have a new MAC compatible design studio called Cricut Craft Room?!?!

My in-laws bought me the Nikon SB-600! That’s right a “big girl” flash for my camera. Something new and confusing to get lost in for hours. Well, technically I don’t get my new speed-flash until this weekend, but I’ve already been watching a ton of YouTube tutorials on this little gem.

*pardon the crappy lighting this was taken at 10:30 Monday night in excitement*

You may be wondering what Mr. Woodsy got me… well he hasn’t bought me anything yet. But don’t worry–it’s not his fault. It’s mine. I finally decided yesterday what I wanted. I’m being practical and want to finish our master bedroom this month so I’ve asked for a new fan/light fixture. We are going shopping this weekend, and hopefully next week I’ll report in that we have a new light fixture. But we did FINALLY get night stands… late Monday night. I found them waiting for me on Craigslist Monday morning and after a few phone calls back and forth we were off to go see what might just be the perfect pair! They were the perfect pair, so after a year of searching we finally have new nightstands. Hope y’all enjoyed a little sneak peak of how our room is coming together. I can’t wait to start sharing our master bedroom revamp project later this month!
