As all of you know, Mr. Woodsy and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary at Haven on Thursday. Late, Tuesday evening as I was finishing all the last minute things I needed to get done I whipped up this card. I couldn’t not make him a card for our anniversary. We typically don’t exchange gifts–we both would prefer to go some where. So we counted our trip to Haven as part anniversary trip. I knew going into my quick card assembling that Mr. Woodsy would not make me a card just because we were so pressed for time. He always makes me a card. But I’m totally ok with not getting a card this year.
Below you will find the supplies I used for this card:
Paper from DCWV
(1) 5.5 in x 4.25in card
Xyron 2.5 inch create-a-sticker
Photo printed out on copy paper
Scissors
Since I didn’t want to make a lot of noise because it was late at night, I opted to not turn on the cricut. Instead, I used a wide variety of papers to layer even cutting out (by hand) the curvy floral accent I added. I used a non traditional wedding photo of ours… our cake topper which makes great for any anniversary card. Mr. Woodsy loved the card–he totally forgot about the photo.
Do you hand make your own cards for special celebrations?
