A few weeks ago Mr. Woodsy & I were invited to a housewarming party. It’s customary to bring a small gift when attending a housewarming party, no matter if the couple insist that gifts are not welcomed. A potted plant, a gift card to Home Depot, a bottle of wine–something. In my opinion, it is in poor judgment to show up empty handed! Whenever we go to housewarming parties of course I have to make a handmade card. They are so easy to make, inexpensive if you already have the materials on hand like I do, and always much appreciated by the receivers.
Let’s gather our supplies:
Paper from DCWV Winter Combo
(1) 5.5 in x 4.25in card
Ink Pad, Congratulations Stamp, Recycled Card Stock
(Not pictured, cut out your house shapes on various coordinating papers and cut out the striped oval shape using your cricut machine.) Once your shapes are cut out–you will want to run the oval shape through your Xyron 5 inch create-a-sticker machine.
Adhere the oval shape to the card. Not pictured, stamp “congratulations” stamp onto recycled card stock. Cut the card stock using the Purple Cows cutter in a funky curvy cut. Run the congratulations band through the 2.5 inch create-a-sticker machine. Adhere that to the card.
Next, we will adhere the house to the card using the Mod Podge 3D adhesive mounts.
I used multiple adhesive mounts to the back of the house.
Carefully place the house on to the card. Fill out the inside of the card, seal it and deliver!
Gorgeous housewarming card as easy as 1,2,3… ok maybe 6,7,8 too!
