I made this tropical oasis Birthday card for my Mother in-law’s birthday in July. Utilizing my cricut, the Life is a Beach Cricut Cartridge, and a few pieces of cardstock I was able to create a serene birthday card. This card could really be used for any birthday year-round. Most people love tropical warm weather so a card like this can allow them to take a mini tropical vacation just looking at it!
Supplies:
(1) 6 x 12 piece of moss green cardstock
(1) 6 x 12 piece of red cardstock
(1) piece of blue cardstock
(1) piece of vacation cardstock from Me & My Big Ideas Destination Paradise Paper Pack
Life is a Beach Cricut Cartridge
EK Success Zig Carded Jumbo Tip 2-Way Glue
I placed my moss green piece of card stock on my cricut mat. Using the Life is a Beach Cricut Cartridge I selected the Palm Tree card silhouette and chose the largest size my Cricut Personal will cut (5.5 inches).
Once the card was cut out I then chose the flamingo “Happy Birthday” cut-out, and cut that out at 2 inches.
Using my EK Success Zig Carded Jumbo Tip 2-Way Glue I placed glue all around the palm trees then adhered the blue paper to it (so that the blue paper was visible behind the trees.
Once the blue paper was adhered I cut out a piece of vacation cardstock to fit the inside.
Using my EK Success Zig Carded Jumbo Tip 2-Way Glue I adhered the vacation stock to the card.
Card is complete. We wrote on the opposite side you would normally write on (where the blue cardstock was) so that my mother in-law could enjoy the tropical paper!
