Summer has gone and passed and we are slowly creeping into the next season, Fall! I love the summer months, but living in Florida I really love Fall (minus the hurricanes). The weather finally starts to cool down making it a little more bearable to enjoy the outdoors. It’s still warm enough to hang by the pool or go to the beach, but just cool enough to enjoy picnics at the park or a walk during the middle of the day. I feel like I’ve been cooped up inside all summer because the last thing I want to do is bring the baby out in the 100+ degree weather. Now, we can finally get out doors and enjoy the fresh air (and not sweat to death). But with the cooler weather comes a whole new list of home preparation to get us ready for the weather. Here is a printable checklist on some of the must-do things to help keep your home healthier this fall.

The most important item on this list in my opinion is changing your air filter! During the fall months I like to use The Filtrete Healthy Living Ultra Allergen Reduction Filter (MPR 1500) it is effective at capturing 90% of large airborne particles such as dust, pollen and mold spores from the air passing through the filter.
Changing your Filtrete Filter at least every three months, especially before turning on the heat in the fall months is just one of the things you can do to help create a healthier home. Doing so may also help reduce the amount of energy needed to cool or heat the home. The Filtrete Healthy Living Ultra Allergen Reduction Filter (MPR 1500) is just one of the ways you can help create a healthier home by capturing large airborne particles like dust, pollen and mold spores from the air passing through the filter. It also attracts and captures microscopic particles that can carry bacteria and viruses.
