1st Birthday Whale Invitations

This post is brought to you by Minted.com. I received product in exchange for this first birthday whale invitations review. There are affiliate links in this post. As always all opinions are my own.

We celebrated Ryder’s first birthday two weekends ago. A month and a half prior I had reached out to my friends at Minted for birthday invitations. They have the best invitations. I’m a paper person and believe that quality is key. 10 years ago I was a production assistant for a publishing company. I learned all about paper thickness, inks, bleeds, and everything in between. I thank that first job out of college for my obsession with high quality printed materials! Good thick paper, upgraded die-cuts, shimmery envelopes, custom address label wraps, and even free recipient addressing. You can’t go wrong with MintedFirst Birthday Whale Invitation

I’m old school in the sense that I feel paper invites are a must. No digital invite from me. I just can’t. Now granted yes I have done a few for less formal events like halloween parties and such. But to me an invite sets the tone of your party. It is the first impression!
I was so happy to see that Minted had a whale design; Splish and Splash Children’s Birthday Party invitation. Even better you can customize the name and age. I absolutely love how they turned out. I opted for the upgraded die-cut and am still so happy about that choice.

1st Birthday Invitation Back

I opted to share a photo of Ryder on the back with a brief description of the party and written instructions on how to get to our house. I always find that helps… Especially letting your guest know the neighborhood name and any other helpful hints to help them navigate to your home.first birthday address label wrap

I loved the custom whale sticker address label wraps. Normally I go for the craft envelopes instead I went with the shimmery silver envelopes this go around. And on the opposite side (you can’t see that for the privacy of my guest) you can opt to have addresses printed on the actual envelope!

First Birthday Whale Invitations from Minted

Since I already had a majority of the addresses already loaded in Minted from Christmas cards I used  the free recipient address labeling service. They print each individual address on envelopes for you! And you can preview how each address will look on the envelopes.
Because I was starting to be in a time crunch I had my order to me in 3 days! Super fast service! I love how everything is packaged.
Minted Order Letter
I also love that with every order they send you a custom note about your order.

Minted Invititations

After I put the baby to bed that evening we worked on stuffing, sealing, and stickering invites.

Whale Thank You Cards

They even had matching thank you cards so I ordered those as well!!

All of our guest loved our invites and how the theme played throughout our party. A big thanks again to Minted for providing gorgeous invites that set the tone of our party and really wowed guest! Remember, they also have a wide variety of Party Decor to compliment most invitation themes! Make sure you go and check it out.
