You know exactly what I'm talking about. (and for those that don't well skip this paragraph--in my book its a true addiction. Some are addicted to drugs, eating, shopping, and well this is a spin off of shopping addition but for one specific thing... fabric!) I hoard and hoard fabric until my heart is content. Their is always a … [Read more...]

Travel: Tulip Festival, Lehi Utah

Tulip Festival

While attending SNAP! we were given a complimentary ticket to visit the annual Tulip Festival that is held every year at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens. A lot of people passed up the opportunity to go; however, I couldn't resist! I absolutely LOVE tulips and its a rarity that I ever get to see them in Florida. Tulips are not a normal flower you see planted in everyones garden. Its just too stinking hot to plant tulips in Florida. I will add that I do get to see them when we go to the Flower … [Read more...]

New Novogratz Collection at CB2!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of CB2 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. Who loves CB2? We do! We have been shopping at CB2 for quite some time now. Fun fact, our dining room pendant drum is from CB2! As soon as we receive the catalog in the mail we both take a moment to spend together and flip through the catalog. Swooning over various items and day dreaming about how we would redecorate our home. Recently, on May 2nd, husband-and-wife design duo Robert and … [Read more...]

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of ZzzQuil for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. I interupt todays normal DIY project with a product review of ZzzQuil Nighttime Sleep-Aid. Mr. Woodsy and I both suffer from having one to many sleepless nights. We both work full time jobs, and we both own businesses outside of our 9-5 day job. We have a lot on our mind all the time. When I say we are busy it's an understatment! We eat, breathe, and live for our businesses. Trying to … [Read more...]

Painted Spring Pillow Cover

Painted Spring Pillow Cover from SewWoodsy.com

I love to refresh our front porch every season; however, to buy new pillows every season is way too expensive. An easy and inexpensive way to refresh a space is to make your own pillow covers.  I haven't made pillow covers for our front porch pillows since last year. When we started brainstorming for video ideas with our friends over at Homes.com I knew that I wanted to make a video to share with the world just how to stencil a pillow and how easy they are to sew! This is a great beginners … [Read more...]

My Dream Kitchen…

Electrolux Dream Kitchen via SewWoodsy.com

I think by now its safe to say that everyone knows I have a food blog. When we were purchasing our house three and a half years ago, of course the kitchen was top priority followed by what room would soon become my craft room. We moved into a relatively new home, although foreclosed and had minor issues, everything was pretty new. Thankfully (maybe not so thankful) we didn't need to do much to our kitchen. We added new appliances and added bead board to the exterior kitchen island, exposed … [Read more...]

Lowe’s Designer Challenge at SNAP!

Lowes Designer Challenge at SNAP! from SewWoodsy.com

I mentioned in my recap from SNAP! that I was one of the 50 lucky people chosen to participate in the Lowe's Designer Challenge. I wasn't really sure what to expect but I was up for the challenge. Somehow during all the madness I was able to snap a few photos. We had one hour to create a project. We had a table full of random supplies (with a drop cloth on it covering it until they said GO)! They also had limited drills, wood, paint, and other supplies you would need to create something. Let … [Read more...]
