Cruising With A 1 Year Old

Cruising with a 1 year old - everything you need to know before hitting the high-seas with your tot!

Earlier this year, I shared our experience of cruising with a 6 month old. Last month, we took a 4-day cruise to celebrate Ryder turning 1 (and us keeping a tiny human being alive). Today I'm excited to share cruising with a 1 year old. Holy smokes, there is a huge difference between the two age ranges. Especially if your 6 month old is not mobile (like ours was at the time). The other week I shared a free printable check list that you can download that will help you pack for a cruise when … [Read more...]

How To Grow Green Onions

Learn how easy it is to grow green onions

We love to garden in our house. Since I cook morning, noon, and night we go through a lot of fresh produce and herbs. One trick I learned a long time ago was ways to replant and get more life out of my green onions. Say what?!? Yes, DO NOT throw the root ends from green onions away. You can actually plant them and regenerate a few rounds of green onions before they are no longer good. … [Read more...]

Whale 1st Birthday Party

Awesome ideas -->> Whale 1st Birthday Party Ideas

I can't believe it's been a month already since Ryder's 1st Birthday. Seriously, where does time go? In our typical fashion, we threw a rather large party to celebrate keeping another little human being alive for a year. The longest yet shortest year of my life! Now that I've survived the first year I can't imagine my life with out Ryder. I love the current age he's at. I love watching him learn and grow daily. He is so perfect and just completes us. Enough of my emotional babbling... I'm so … [Read more...]

12 Months of Ryder

12 months of ryder

Ryder turned one almost 1 month ago and I've yet to share my coveted month-to-month photos. I opted to not do the paper stickers on a onesie and just edited the photo and placed text on the photo using the Rhonna Designs app on my phone. This made taking a photo each month a whole lot easier. I also didn't really stick with the same background each time. I wanted his photos to represent his personality and what he was starting to do. So here we are in all his glory... my little itty bitty baby … [Read more...]

DIY First Birthday Onesie

DIY first birthday onesie

I knew even before Ryder was born that I would be making him a onesie for his birthday. I mean let's get real I've made him quite a few cute custom onesies. Why wouldn't I make him one? And then fast forward 6 months after he was born, and my friend Darci opened up a cute Etsy shop, The Kitchen and the Cave, and was making the cutest first birthday onesies and shirts. I loved her designs, so I opted to not make his and have her make him one. And then Jon found out and guilted me like no one has … [Read more...]
