Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from Sew Woodsy

We just wanted to wish all of our readers a very Merry Christmas! We spent the past few days spending time with our families and celebrating the joy of the holiday. Today, we had probably one of our laziest days of the year. We ate, slept, watched movies, ate some more, and even played a heated game of Monopoly. This is the Christmas card we ended up choosing and designing from Minted.com. We loved the infographic and knew our family and friends would love learning a little bit about what we did … [Read more...]

{Stamped} Funny Christmas Card

DSC_0114

I know I've neglected sharing the cards I've been making over the past few months. Let me just tell you that I hit the mother load of stamps the other week at Michael's. They had large Christmas stamps for just $2 each! This funny Christmas stamp was screaming at me to take it home, so that is excatly what I did. I knew everyone would get a kick out of it! I have made over a dozen cards using this stamp, and each person who received the card laughed out loud. I have a few giant stacks of … [Read more...]

DIY Monogram Stickers For Cards #ChristmasCards #PaperCrafting #DIY #Tutorial

The other night I received our Christmas cards from Minted.com. I knew I was going to be in a mad-dash to get these babies, sealed, stamped, and out to the mailbox. My goal was to get them complete in one evening. I have a super large family on both sides. Most years we send on average 75-100 cards. That's a lot of stuffing and stamping if you ask me. And in past years (because I was crazy) I would write a message in each card and sign. Not this year--I went with the double-sided "pre-signed" … [Read more...]

Christmas DIY Canvas Subway Wall Art

Christmas DIY Canvas Subway Wall Art

DIY Subway wall art has been all the rage over the past few years. However, somehow I never jumped on the boat. When we started working on our Martha Stewart Living Holiday Collection project I knew I wanted to add some of my own personal touches to our entry hall. I felt that this was finally the time to make my own DIY subway art. Thankfully, I had bought two rather large canvas' on sale a few years back that had been taking up space in our home. One had a small hole in it and the other was in … [Read more...]

Washi Tape Joy Letters

Washi Tape Joy Letters

The other week I shared with you our newly renovated/decorated entry hallway. While working on that fun project with Martha Stewart Living Holiday Collection I wanted to make a few of my own DIY decor. Given my love for all things washi tape I knew I needed to make a something using this fun paper tape! We were kind of on a crunch for time so I knew making our own letters was out of the question. So during a quick trip to my local craft store I picked up the cardboard letters with all … [Read more...]

Tabletop Berry Ornament + Fruit Platter

Tabletop Berry Ornament + Fruit Platter

Some of you might know this about me, but I have a food blog. I know. I'm crazy. Everyone asks me how the heck do you manage two blogs and work full time? The answer... I DON'T KNOW!??!!? While attending a Driscoll's event last month for my food blog; Katie's Cucina, they told me about a Berry-tastic Virtual Holiday Workshop and Competition that they were hosting towards the end of November. I knew I had to participate in this campaign. It combined my love for food and crafting in one … [Read more...]

{Glow-in-the Dark} Trick or Treat Pendant

{Glow-in-the Dark} Trick or Treat Pendant

A few years ago when Hobby Lobby first opened in Central Florida I stocked up on a wide variety of pendants. Knowing that one day I would want to make customized pendants using the fabulous Dimensional Magic! Before we left for vacation I made this haunting necklace. I decided to add a layer of Glow-In-The-Dark Mod Podge before sealing it with the Dimensional Magic to give it a mysterious and enchanting look. I plan to give this to one of my favorite spooky ghouls! Supplies: Halloween … [Read more...]

{Card Making} Enter If You Dare

DSC_0432

Halloween is right around the corner. Why not make your favorite ghoul a card for this spooky occasion! For this card I used my Cricut Die-Cutting machine to do all the work for me. I love the Happy Hauntings Cartridge and picked an image and phrase to compliment my card. I had a stack of pre-scalloped edged cards just sitting around. I love the color combo of orange, black, green, and purple during Halloween! Supplies for this card: 3 pieces of card stock from the Ravenhead Manor Book … [Read more...]
