Introducing the Next Generation of Sew Woodsy…

(photo by Christy Buonomo Photography) I'm sure you've noticed that we've had a lot of guest bloggers around here lately. After 22 hours of labor (ultimately ending in c-section), our son, Ryder Thomas, finally arrived (3 days late) on Saturday, March 29 at 6:55 p.m. I will share my full birth story in the coming weeks, but for now I just wanted to share an abbreviated story and a few pictures! Us right after Ryder was born. Don't you just love the temperature sticker on my forehead? I had … [Read more...]

Everything You Need to Know About the New Cricut Explore™

It's been a little quiet around here the past few days, sorry for that. But I have a fantastic reason for it... if you follow me on Instagram you know exactly what I've been up to. I was in Salt Lake City, Utah for the product launch of the brand new Cricut Explore™! You guy's know that I've been a Cricut user for years, so when they invited me out for this  launch I was over the moon. Of course, the first thing I did was calculate how many weeks I would be since the cut off for flying is 34 … [Read more...]

Black Friday Cricut Deals

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We did--although busy, it was delicious and spent with lots of family! We use to go out shopping on Black Friday, but over the past few years unless there is something we absolutely need we don't bother in going out any more.  We did; however, go out this morning to WoodCraft and the Sewing Studio. Jon bought himself a new Dust Air Cleaner and I bought a much needed sewing/embroidery machine and a serger (and all the embroidery supplies I'll need to … [Read more...]

We have had quite a few challenges over the past few months and continue to have a few ahead, so that's why we weren't … [Read more...]

Life Inspired Features + Announcement

Happy Wednesday! We didn't do much work on our kitchen this past weekend--instead we spent a little time unplugged and away from all technology. I can't wait to reveal our kitchen to you--of course I really can't wait to get the kitchen finished. We are doing our kitchen revamp in phases that way our kitchen is … [Read more...]

90th Birthday and a Tribute!

Today marks a very special day for our family. My great aunt Millie turned 90 years old today! She's the eldest and only surviving sibling from my mom's mother's side. Her mom, my great grandmother, lived to be 104 years old. I can only imagine Aunt Millie living to be that old! I created a very "blinged" out crazy birthday card for the wildest and wackiest lady I know... my great Aunt Millie. I used my Cricut die cutting machine and created the "birthday card" and then used the I used the … [Read more...]

Top 12 DIY Projects in 2012

Mr. Woodsy and I can't believe that another year has come and gone. 2012 was a fantastic year for us as we watched Sew Woodsy grow! We completed a few of the goals that we set for 2012. Our largest project of year was revamping our Master Bedroom. We also spruced up our back patio and created an outdoor living room, and we did a bunch of small projects. I also learned how to use multiple wood working tools and completed my first wood working project all on my own: Revamped Wire Basket Plant … [Read more...]
