DIY Teething Ring

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine. I'm currently dealing with the dreaded teething stage with my darling little girl. She wants to chew on anything and everything she can in order to get any sort of relief. Sweet thing has not one, two, or three teeth trying to break through--she has SIX! Sleepless nights and cranky days are what I'm currently dealing with. I knew that the first thing I wanted to make using my … [Read more...]

Baby Shower Onesie Station

I can't believe that our whale themed baby shower was 2 months ago. Week after week I kept telling my self I would share our Baby Shower Onesie Station and each week it kept slipping by the way-side. After multiple people reaching out to me about how I did our onesie station I figured it was time to share with the world. The wonderful folks at Cricut sent me a wide variety of Iron-On Vinyl to help make this possible! Gone are the days of puffy painted onesies. Let's get real--who really puts … [Read more...]

Construction Themed Baby Shower

I was going to share with you another kitchen post today, but instead my plans changed. I had a surprise shower at work today and couldn't resist sharing a few of the details. This is also in an effort for me to do more "real time" blogging in 2014. Like I said this was a surprise to me. I had a feeling I would have a baby shower at work (after all I did throw a few baby showers last year at work and over the past few years), so I figured I would have one. But as the past few weeks have crept … [Read more...]

Baby Shower Whale Garden Flag

Today, I'm going to share another baby shower craft with you. I have a thing for garden flags and I knew I wanted to make a garden flag themed around our Whale Baby Shower! I used a piece of burlap, cut it to size, and sewed a slit so that it can hang on the wire metal. That took me a whole 5 minutes and then I got to work on my Cricut. Using Iron-On Vinyl I was able to quickly adhere the design on to the burlap. I made this flag the morning of our baby shower. Yes--the morning of. So when I say … [Read more...]

Whale Wreath for Baby Shower

Last year, we worked on the 12 Months of Martha campaign. Each month we shared a new project using Martha Stewart Crafts product. We are back again for our second year to do another 12 months with Martha Stewart Crafts. We are kicking off our first project with a baby shower craft. Earlier this week we shared our baby shower and today I'm excited to share the first of many DIY components to our baby shower! I received a box wood wreath last year. It's plain and simple and has … [Read more...]

Whale Baby Shower

Two weekends ago, we had our baby shower. A whale themed baby shower at that. For those who follow along on Pinterest--you might have figured out that we have a sea/whale theme for our nursery, and our colors are aqua, red, navy, and white. (Hopefully, I'll be sharing our vision board with everyone next week). I helped my mom plan the shower--she's not a party planner nor does she enjoy entertaining people. We are 100% completely opposite when it comes to that department! The first thing … [Read more...]

How to Host a Baby Shower at Work

Babies are in full force right now in our lives (not us--just other people). I've hosted two baby showers at work this year and have about a handful of friends and family members all expecting this summer. I documented the last baby shower I hosted at work via iPhone and figured I would share with our readers. Entertaining of any sorts can be super stressful, but I have a few tips and ideas that will make hosting a baby shower at work a breeze! First thing is first. Think about your theme. We … [Read more...]
