90th Birthday and a Tribute!

Today marks a very special day for our family. My great aunt Millie turned 90 years old today! She's the eldest and only surviving sibling from my mom's mother's side. Her mom, my great grandmother, lived to be 104 years old. I can only imagine Aunt Millie living to be that old! I created a very "blinged" out crazy birthday card for the wildest and wackiest lady I know... my great Aunt Millie. I used my Cricut die cutting machine and created the "birthday card" and then used the I used the … [Read more...]

12 Months of Martha — Valentine’s Day Card w/ Lined Envelope

The other day I revealed my first box that I received from a new campaign that I'm participating in this year called the 12 Months of Martha. I'm so excited to share today what I did with some of the gorgeous Valentine's Day supplies. Naturally, when I see paper I instantly want to make a card. I decided I would make a Valentine's Day Card for my 89 year old great-aunt Millie. I like to send her cards for just about every holiday because she is all by herself in a retirement home and I want to … [Read more...]

{Stamped} Funny Christmas Card

I know I've neglected sharing the cards I've been making over the past few months. Let me just tell you that I hit the mother load of stamps the other week at Michael's. They had large Christmas stamps for just $2 each! This funny Christmas stamp was screaming at me to take it home, so that is excatly what I did. I knew everyone would get a kick out of it! I have made over a dozen cards using this stamp, and each person who received the card laughed out loud. I have a few giant stacks of … [Read more...]

{Card Making} Enter If You Dare

Halloween is right around the corner. Why not make your favorite ghoul a card for this spooky occasion! For this card I used my Cricut Die-Cutting machine to do all the work for me. I love the Happy Hauntings Cartridge and picked an image and phrase to compliment my card. I had a stack of pre-scalloped edged cards just sitting around. I love the color combo of orange, black, green, and purple during Halloween! Supplies for this card: 3 pieces of card stock from the Ravenhead Manor Book … [Read more...]

{Card Making} Congrats!

I love making cards. No surprise here. I rarely ever have enough time in my day to sit down and whip out cards. Ideally I would love to have a stock pile of premade cards instead of having to throw together a card on a whim right before someones birthday or event. A few weekends ago we had a rainy Saturday and as Mr. Woodsy lounged on the couch I went to town making cards. I've never had the time to make a handmade card for a giveaway winner and since I had to mail out their prize I wanted to … [Read more...]
