Spooky Tree’s
Two week's ago Mr. Woodsy surprised me with two very large spooky tree's! They were damaged and had been used on a play set many years back. He decided he would restore them (i.e., repaint them), and put them in our front yard. I agree'd to let him take them home, but to be honest I had very little faith that they would come out like they were originally painted. He bought a few tester paints, and started painting away... too my surprise (and I think his, too) they came out AWESOME!!! Way better … [Read more...]
Halloween Printables Placed on Canvas!
As soon as Craftly Ever After posted these awesome free Halloween printable I knew I needed to incorporate them in my house! After I printed those 2 I then found this awesome "If The Broom Fits Ride It" free printable from Crafts & Sutch! Make sure you visit HERE and HERE to print yours out too! I took an 8 x 10 canvas, spray adhesive, and the print out. I cut the print out to fit the canvas, adhered it to the canvas, and voila! Super quick, inexpensive project that … [Read more...]
{Mini Tutorial} Creepy Critter Boxes
I got the idea for this project originally from Tatertots and Jello with her {Creepy} Halloween Specimen Art tutorial, and then I saw the awesome "Glitter Spider Art" made by Ameroonie Designs. I knew I needed to make a version of my own, and I wanted to make it interchangeable for the holidays. I'm thinking tree's and snowflakes for Christmas, hearts for Valentine's day, 3 leaf clovers for St. Patrick's day, and eggs & bunnies for Easter! That's why I used foam core as the … [Read more...]
Dead Ivy…
... well it's not really dead--I just wanted to make it look dead! I have rather large kitchen cabinets, and absolutely nothing that sits on top of them all year round *minus christmas when I put up beautiful vines of pine with white lights*. I wanted to do a similar but creepy effect for Halloween. That's when I decided I would spray paint perfectly green ivy and make it look "dead". Supplies: -Black Matte Spray Paint-Vines of Ivy-Painters drop clothLay a drop cloth out, and start … [Read more...]
I think we have a rodent problem…
For the past few year's I've eyed Martha Stewart's mice cut-outs. Each year I resist temptation, but this year it got hte best of me! I was browsing the aisles of Michael's *like I do just about every day during lunch* and these fabulous cut-outs were half off!!! How could one resist... so I immediately snatched up a package and for $3 and 12 mice later... I was a super excited camper! Now, let's not tell Mr. Woodsy that I found a FREE template HERE that allows you to print out, cut-out, … [Read more...]
{Mini Tutorial} Spider Dish Towel
I feel like it's long over due to feature a sewing project!!!Before we pulled our Halloween bins down form the attic I knew I wanted to make a dish towel. I had leftover fabric from my Halloween Table Runner I made along with the dangling spider beads and knew that those would pair well with my dish towel. I had just finished my dish towel when Mr. Woodsy finally decided to pull all of our bins down from the attic... that's when I discovered I purchased quite a few Halloween dish towels on … [Read more...]
{Mini Tutorial} Blood Splattered Windows
As soon as I saw this on the Muse Lodge I immediately went to the store to buy a roll of parchment paper. We've shopped around for blinds for the sides of our door for almost a year now and nothing has worked out (we have to keep the bottom window visible for our big bad watch dog to look out (just kidding... we have a yorkie!)), and with that being said we now have a little privacy for the month of October! Here is my "blood splattered" parchment paper. I made a pattern with … [Read more...]
Spookified Glowing Pictures
If you have photoshop this is a super easy project for you!!!First you will want to pick the picture of your choice.
