Maternity Pretty Ugly Christmas Sweater

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Cricut. As always all opinions are my own. My friends at Cricut challenged me to come up with an ugly Christmas sweater. Now, if you've been reading for the past few years, you are well aware that Jon and I have made some pretty epic ugly sweaters in past years. In fact, I even made Ryder a baby ugly Christmas sweater last year! Since we didn't have any ugly Christmas sweater parties to attend I started asking around. My friend, Whitney, who is 35 … [Read more...]

DIY Deer Family Pillow Cover

Ahh I'm so excited about today's post. I made this DIY Deer Family Pillow Cover the other week and instantly fell in love with it. I'm pretty obsessed with deer this Christmas season, and wanted to make a few pillow covers. This is the first of my pillow covers I'm sharing this week. I'm participating in Cricut's Secret Santa program this year. It's the first year they are doing this. They have paired various craft and DIY bloggers with a Secret Santa. The ultimate goal is to make a gift and … [Read more...]

DIY “My Dad Rocks” Onesie

I whipped up a quick onesie for Ryder so that he can show his love for "dada" on Father's Day! I used a existing image found in the Cricut Design Space library and then added the "my" text. Like I said, super simple to do and "dada" loved it when he saw him wearing it for the mini photo shoot!  The best part is that I can add a few of the photos from our mini photo shoot into Jon's Father's day journal for this year! DIY “I’m A Proud Father” T-Shirt

Father's day is this weekend. I hope you've made something for the special father in your life. If not. I have you covered. I created the cutest phrase and ironed it on to a t-shirt. Perfect shirt for any dad. Jon loved the shirt and couldn't stop laughing at it. Specifically the part about "his mom making the shirt". It's definitely what I would do, and he doesn't expect anything less. Make sure you download the image so you can upload it into Cricut Design Space and make this shirt … [Read more...]

Lucky Shirt using Iron-On Vinyl

I had all intentions of getting this post out last week so other's might be able to make the same shirt in time for St. Patrick's day. But instead I dealt with business taxes (yuck), and survived it all, so now I'm back to bring you some fun creative projects. First up, this lucky shirt. While cleaning out my craft room last month I found a mint green shirt that I'm guessing I was planning to do something with. Like 2-3 years ago. oops. But now, it's been transformed into this sparkly lucky … [Read more...]

DIY “Hello My Name Is” Shirt

I made this "Hello my name is" shirt almost a year ago. Hard to believe. Since then, I've been making them as a gifts and I've made a few larger sizes for my son since I love the shirt so so much. Everyone was predicting I was going to have a big baby. Little did they know or I know that I actually had a very small baby (6lbs 9oz). I only packed 2 items that were newborn size the rest were size 1-3 months. The "hello my name is" shirt happened to be a size 1-3 months. I was determined for it to … [Read more...]

DIY Glitter Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater Pillow

I've been working on this pillow for over a month now. True story--that's life with a baby. I've been weeding this glitter iron-on vinyl for a few weeks and finally committed to getting it done before Halloween has came and past. So at least I'll get to enjoy my pillow for the next week until I have to pack it up. Well technically I can keep this pillow up until Thanksgiving. I went with a nursery rhyme phrase for this autumn inspired pillow. I read a lot of nursery rhymes these days and I felt … [Read more...]

How to Sew a Magician’s Cape

Learn how easy it is to sew a Magician's Cape in minutes! Back in March my mother in-law took my nephew to our local repertory theater to see a child's play. The play's main character was a magician. My five year old nephew, Nicholas, loved the play and all of a sudden wanted to be a magician. After the show they passed by the merchandise table and my mother in-law splurged and purchased a magician's hat for my Nicholas. He really wanted the cape but she just couldn't fathom spending a … [Read more...]

DIY Iron-On Vinyl Turtle Name Onesie & Pants

Today, I'm excited to bring you another quick and easy iron-on vinyl project today. We are now in round 2 of the Cricut Design Space Star challenge and this month's theme is fashion. My team decided our theme for fashion would be "pop of color". Ryder had quite a few plain onesies and pants that needed a little extra something and adding on some blue iron-on vinyl was the perfect opportunity to give it the pop of color it needed! Custom Newborn Snap Tee “I Was Worth The Wait”

The week before I was due to have Ryder I started nesting like crazy. I had a few DIY projects that I felt HAD to be done. I was staying up late after work every night to finish them. I just didn't feel like I could have this baby without completing the projects. One of the projects was creating this custom newborn snap tee. I had eyed the "worth the wait" onesie set from Uncommon Goods for years and always knew that when I had a baby I wanted he/she to have that onesie. However, I did not want … [Read more...]
