How To Paint a Cabinet Without Chalk Paint

I'm excited to share this post today. I started writing this post when we were in the heart of our bathroom renovation and once we finished I was a bit burnt out. So I'm finally back to finish sharing a few more details on our bathroom renovation project. We've lived in our home for 3 years and I've yet to share about my kitchen cabinet painting experience. I will eventually blog about them--maybe. In any event, I used chalk paint because that's what I was most comfortable with. However, since … [Read more...]

DIY Birth Announcement Subway Art + Painted Frame

I've been wanting to make this birth announcement subway art for Ryder's room since before he was born. 8 month's later and I finally tackled this project. A few week's ago I shared his nursery gallery wall that we finally hung up. I also hinted that it wasn't complete, but that we got the big pieces up. Today, I'm sharing with you the chalk painted frame I finally got around to painting and the DIY birth announcement subway art that I put in the frame! It's super easy and ANYONE can make this … [Read more...]

Chalkboard Paint – Painted Frame

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Martha Stewart Crafts as always all opinions are my own. I'm so excited to share an easy chalkboard paint -- painted picture frame. This is another nap time craft; however, it will be a 2-nap craft meaning that you start the project during the first nap of the day and during the second nap you do the second coat of the chalkboard paint on the frame. I'm in love with all the new colors of chalkboard paint that Martha Stewart Crafts has come out … [Read more...]

PBK Ultimate Changing Table Knockoff

We started working with Ana on these plans for a knockoff version of the Pottery Barn Kids Ultimate Changing Table before Ryder was born. We got the plans the day before I was sent to the hospital to be induced. A week later we were home and my mother in-law insisted Jon and I get out of the house and take a few hours away from the baby. So we did, and where did we go? To The Home Depot to pick up supplies for this changing table. Then throughout the months (yes, as in April, May, and June) Jon … [Read more...]

Easy Fix! Paint in the Numbers on the Cricut Mini

Last year, before I ever received my Cricut Explore (or knew that one was in the works). I did an easy fix to my Circut Mini. Since receiving my machine as a gift I always had a hard time seeing the numbers. One day I decided enough was enough and I decided I would take some matching green craft acrylic paint and paint in the numbers. Seriously, the simplest fix ever. I wish I would have done this the day I pulled the machine out of the box! Supplies: Cricut Mini Acrylic Paint Paint … [Read more...]

DIY Nautical Burp Cloth

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Martha Stewart Crafts as always all opinions are my own. I was never one to like customized clothing, towels, bags, etc... that all changed once I had my son, Ryder. For some reason, I want his name on EVERYTHING. I'm kind of becoming addicted to it. When I got my nautical stencil in last month, I knew I wanted to use it and make a custom nautical burp cloth. We can never have too many burp cloths. Especially since we are in that super drooly stage. I … [Read more...]

Burlap Starfish Art

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Martha Stewart Crafts as always all opinions are my own.  I'm still slowly putting Ryder's nursery together. For month's now ( I can say that since I've officially been sitting in his nursery day-in-and-day out for the past 3 months) I've starred at the stack of frames perched against the empty wall. Waiting to be hung and of course waiting to be filled with beautiful photos and prints. I wanted to make a few unique DIY pieces for his gallery … [Read more...]

3M ScotchBlue™ Painters Tape Outdoor Painted Patio

I am proud to be a 3M sponsored blogger, and, as part of my responsibilities, I get the opportunity to evaluate new products from ScotchBlue™ Painter's Tape. Opinions are my own and additional product used in the project were selected by me. Two months ago, right before Katie was due to have the baby, ScotchBlue.com  reached out to us and asked us to create an outdoor DIY project for under $100. I was super excited since I’ve been chomping at the bit to paint our back patio floor. Katie … [Read more...]

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Homes.com Oh man, am I excited to finally share our video on how to install board and batten. I swear this feels like it has been our longest project to date. I know it hasn't, but it feels like it. After we found out we were expecting we started brainstorming some ideas for the nursery. We both knew we wanted to install board and batten in the nursery. It's a project we've been wanting to tackle and it was the perfect room for it. Little did we … [Read more...]
