{Travel} Tuscany & Florence, Italy

I just realized the other day that I completely failed to share travel photos over the last two months from Europe. So I'll give you a double dose today and share some more travel photos later on this month. Today, I'm going to give you a brief tour around Tuscany and Florence Italy. If you thought Pisa, Italy was amazing (well it was) Tuscany was even more magical. Most of you know I'm also a food blogger at Katie's Cucina so food (and wine) are close to my heart. While in Italy I really wanted … [Read more...]

{Travel} Pisa, Italy with Video

It has been about 2 months since I've last shared photos from our trip to Europe back in October. I can't believe how quickly time has passed. As I started to choose photo to share I realized that this trip merely feels like a distant memory, and to be honest, I don't like that. I've had the travel bug since graduating high school and I think Europe really escalated my travel-bug to the next level. I'm so excited to be sharing our travel photos from Pisa, Italy today! Pisa was our first stop … [Read more...]

{Travel} Saint Paul de Vence, France

Our last stop during our day tour in Monaco was the quaint Medieval town of Saint Paul De Vence. We had no idea what to expect--although from all of our other stops that day we were hoping it would be just as good if not better than what we had experienced every where else. Thankfully, it was! Upon our tour van, climbing the steep hills we were told to run loose and enjoy a nice lunch. We had two hours which honestly felt like eternity here. The outskirts of the town are lined with rustic … [Read more...]

{Travel} Nice, France

During our day in Monaco, we took a private tour with 6 other fellow cruisers around the French Riveria. After enjoying an hour in Eze, France we drove about 30 minutes further to get to Nice. But before getting to Nice our amazing tour guide stopped at a look out point that overlooked Nice. These pictures don't even do Nice justice for how gorgeous it was there. The sun had finally broken out of the clouds and was shining down on the tanzanite blue Mediterranean waters. Thankfully, we … [Read more...]

{Travel} Èze, France

Today, I'm going to introduce to a tiny little town off the coast of France. Meet Èze. It is not pronounce "easy" it's pronounced "ez".  Èze has been described as an “eagle's nest” because of its location overlooking a high cliff 427 metres (1,401 ft) above sea level on the French Mediterranean. Èze, renowned tourist site on the French Riviera, is famous worldwide for the view of the sea from its hill top. This little village is one of 13 villages along the Route of Perched Villages on the … [Read more...]

{Travel} Monaco

I've vowed to share photos from our European vacation weekly until the end of the year. Today, I'm excited to share stories and a few photos from Monaco. Our cruise ship docked in Monaco, and while I've heard its beautiful I'm ashamed to admit that I wasn't all too excited for this port. I'm glad that I gave myself low expectations because it was mind blowing beautiful! For those who aren't familiar with Monaco it is a sovereign city state, located on the French Riviera in Western … [Read more...]

{Travel} Barcelona, Spain

We're back! We had the most amazing vacation ever! For those who don't follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram you may not know that we were traveling around Europe for the past 2.5 weeks. During our vacation we spent 4 days in Barcelona, Spain and then hopped on a 12 day Mediterranean cruise. So over the course of the next few weeks (maybe even months) I'll be sharing our journey around Europe. First off, our trip didn't get off to the best start thanks to American Airlines silent … [Read more...]

We are taking a trip…

For those of you who don't know us in real life... Mr. Woodsy and I not only love to create amazing DIY projects, but we also LOVE to travel. We honestly, don't just love it we live for traveling. When we were younger (as pictured below) we went on some pretty amazing trips, but then again we were mortgage free and essentially had very few bills to pay. These photos were taken on a trip we took to California in 2006. I had actually won a radio contest for an all expense paid trip to Costa … [Read more...]

{Bowdabra Design Team} Designer Dog Harness

Happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a wonderful week. I'm sharing some pictures of our Yorkie, Lola, today. I'm over on the Bowdabra Blog today sharing my Dog Bow Tutorial for "Dog Week". I turned our cute little Yorkie's gentle leader harness into a Designer Harness in less than 10 minutes. Lola, our 10 pound princess, does not like to wear bows in her hair. I've tried time and time again, and she pulls them out quicker than I can put them in her hair.  Lately, I've been getting annoyed … [Read more...]

Vacation Photography {Part 2: New York City}

Last month we shared part 1 of our vacation photos from Philadelphia. As promised we would share a few of our favorite photographs we took (part 2) while visiting New York City during the fourth of July. Mr. Woodsy and I scored $38 orchestra seats to the controversial Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark. It was beyond amazing. The costumes, the set, the music, and the actors/actresses altogether made this show wonderful. It was so good we would pay $200+ per ticket to see it again. If you are … [Read more...]
