10 Magic Kingdom Tips with Babies and Toddlers

Top 10 Magic Kingdom Tips with Babies and Toddlers

Last weekend, we had a "staycation" and spent the weekend at Walt Disney World. I was attending a food blog conference for my food blog; Katie's Cucina and I was able to bring the family along. We spent 2 nights at The Grand Floridian Hotel and 3 days at the parks. Although we live in Orlando, we have yet to take Ryder to the Magic Kingdom. He's been to Epcot (Food & Wine Fest) and to Hollywood studios to see the Osborne Family Christmas Lights. Jon and I were both very excited to bring him … [Read more...]

Cruising with a 6 Month Old

Cruising with an Infant

I started writing this post right after we returned back from a cruise with our son, Ryder, who had just turned 6 months old.  And the holidays started to creep up on me, and well it's a new year and Ryder is 9.5 months old. Better late than never. We love to cruise. I've been on 15+ and Jon has been on 12+. We've done all the cruise lines. So today I'm sharing my insight in cruising with a 6 month old. Prior to leaving for our cruise, I researched and researched and found very little info. … [Read more...]

Travel: Tulip Festival, Lehi Utah

Tulip Festival

While attending SNAP! we were given a complimentary ticket to visit the annual Tulip Festival that is held every year at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens. A lot of people passed up the opportunity to go; however, I couldn't resist! I absolutely LOVE tulips and its a rarity that I ever get to see them in Florida. Tulips are not a normal flower you see planted in everyones garden. Its just too stinking hot to plant tulips in Florida. I will add that I do get to see them when we go to the Flower … [Read more...]

{Travel} Tuscany & Florence, Italy

Tuscany Italy via SewWoodsy.com

I just realized the other day that I completely failed to share travel photos over the last two months from Europe. So I'll give you a double dose today and share some more travel photos later on this month. Today, I'm going to give you a brief tour around Tuscany and Florence Italy. If you thought Pisa, Italy was amazing (well it was) Tuscany was even more magical. Most of you know I'm also a food blogger at Katie's Cucina so food (and wine) are close to my heart. While in Italy I really wanted … [Read more...]

{Travel} Pisa, Italy with Video

DSC_1281

It has been about 2 months since I've last shared photos from our trip to Europe back in October. I can't believe how quickly time has passed. As I started to choose photo to share I realized that this trip merely feels like a distant memory, and to be honest, I don't like that. I've had the travel bug since graduating high school and I think Europe really escalated my travel-bug to the next level. I'm so excited to be sharing our travel photos from Pisa, Italy today! Pisa was our first stop … [Read more...]

{Travel} Saint Paul de Vence, France

Our last stop during our day tour in Monaco was the quaint Medieval town of Saint Paul De Vence. We had no idea what to expect--although from all of our other stops that day we were hoping it would be just as good if not better than what we had experienced every where else. Thankfully, it was! Upon our tour van, climbing the steep hills we were told to run loose and enjoy a nice lunch. We had two hours which honestly felt like eternity here. The outskirts of the town are lined with … [Read more...]

{Travel} Nice, France

During our day in Monaco, we took a private tour with 6 other fellow cruisers around the French Riveria. After enjoying an hour in Eze, France we drove about 30 minutes further to get to Nice. But before getting to Nice our amazing tour guide stopped at a look out point that overlooked Nice. These pictures don't even do Nice justice for how gorgeous it was there. The sun had finally broken out of the clouds and was shining down on the tanzanite blue Mediterranean waters. Thankfully, we … [Read more...]

Today, I'm going to introduce to a tiny little town off the coast of France. Meet Èze. It is not pronounce "easy" it's pronounced "ez".  Èze has been described as an “eagle's nest” because of its location overlooking a high cliff 427 metres (1,401 ft) above sea level on the French Mediterranean. Èze, renowned tourist site on the French Riviera, is famous worldwide for the view of the sea from its hill top. This little village is one of 13 villages along the Route of Perched … [Read more...]

{Travel} Monaco

I've vowed to share photos from our European vacation weekly until the end of the year. Today, I'm excited to share stories and a few photos from Monaco. Our cruise ship docked in Monaco, and while I've heard its beautiful I'm ashamed to admit that I wasn't all too excited for this port. I'm glad that I gave myself low expectations because it was mind blowing beautiful! For those who aren't familiar with Monaco it is a sovereign city state, located on the French Riviera in Western … [Read more...]
