This is the first year we are a family of 3. I can already imagine the little pitter patter of hands and knees smacking the hard wood floor crawling to the tree on Christmas morning (maybe making a detour since our front room is gated and he will be in new territory that he normally can’t get around into). Eyes bright-eyed from the gleaming of the white lights strung on the Christmas tree. Toys beautifully wrapped. A big giant stuffed shark animal and the Zany Zoo with big red bows on them underneath the tree. This is how I imagine Christmas morning going in our home. I’m also pretty sure that Ryder will be so much more interested in the paper and boxes than the actual gifts in those packages.
For the past few months, I’ve been mentioning to Jon all the new traditions I can’t wait to start once Ryder is a little older (and some we can start this year). I decided to put together a printable list for our readers to download and implement in their home and for us to check off each and every holiday tradition.
I can remember growing up my mom would burn the Sparkling Spruce™ candle as we would decorate our tree and then continue to burn the candle throughout the rest of the Christmas season. She wouldn’t stop burning that candle until the tree was put away. I want to create the same tradition with Ryder. I want him to smell a scent and it automatically trigger holiday memories for years to come. I’ve chosen Glade® Under the Mistletoe fragrance. Wonder what Under the Mistletoe smells like? Bright, fresh red fruit notes energize your tour of winter wonders, while berries, aromatic woods and evergreen garland provide the perfect holiday base. Don’t worry you don’t really have to go under the mistletoe to enjoy this scent in your home. Burn the jar candle or enjoy it as a Plugin, wax melt, or even room spray this holiday season. The Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection can be found exclusively at Target.
