Today, I’m excited to bring you another quick and easy iron-on vinyl project today. We are now in round 2 of the Cricut Design Space Star challenge and this month’s theme is fashion. My team decided our theme for fashion would be “pop of color”. Ryder had quite a few plain onesies and pants that needed a little extra something and adding on some blue iron-on vinyl was the perfect opportunity to give it the pop of color it needed!
Using Cricut Design Space I selected my canvas type (onesie).
Then, I found an image of a turtle.
I placed the image into the canvas and added Ryder’s name to the canvas. Then, I welded the image and text together, so it became one image.
I clicked “mirror image” on the mat preview since it has text.
I set the dial to Iron-On and hit finish! Then the image began cutting on my Cricut Explore.
Then begin weeding out the negative. I saved the negative of his name for his pants.
Then I placed the turtle image on his onesie.
Placed my iron on cotton heat and then placed a piece of muslin fabric on top of the onesie. I pressed the iron on the onesie for 20 seconds.
Then I carefully began to peal off the plastic.
Voila! Onesie is complete. Next I removed the circle portion of the smaller turtle I cut out.
Then I began to carefully arrange his name on to the turtle. After getting to the last letter I realized I needed to put it on a separate sheet of plastic.
I placed the name and turtle on the back of his pants, and repeated the iron
Then I pealed off the plastic.
Easy as that… chilling in his new outfit… well the best part, it’s not new–we owned it… just newly designed outfit!
Even though this photo isn’t in focus, I love it… it’s like he is saying “Mom, stop taking pictures of me”!
How cute are these custom pants?
And more moving and excitement over his new outfit!
And this is the secret to getting smiles in photos… kisses from daddy!
And then our furry four-legged pup, Lola, decided to photo bomb!
How cute is this shirt, and of course this baby?
