I think by now its safe to say that everyone knows I have a food blog. When we were purchasing our house three and a half years ago, of course the kitchen was top priority followed by what room would soon become my craft room. We moved into a relatively new home, although foreclosed and had minor issues, everything was pretty new. Thankfully (maybe not so thankful) we didn’t need to do much to our kitchen. We added new appliances and added bead board to the exterior kitchen island, exposed cabinet sides, and the base boards under the cabinets. That was about all we did to our kitchen. Since doing those tiny little improvements a few years ago I have wanted to finish our kitchen.
You might recall that I had “revamp kitchen” on our 2013 to-do list. While we are trying to spend a limited amount of money… a girl can dream about what she would love to have in her future kitchen!
I love the above picture. It really is the perfect inspiration picture for my dream kitchen.
- I’d love white/gray granite countertops
- I’d love a larger kitchen island a massive kitchen
- Built in wine fridge… yes please!
- Farmhouse sink (do y’all really know how expensive those dang sinks are?),
- Double ovens
- Beautiful marble inlay floors
Everything about this kitchen is my dream. I’m not about to burst any bubbles here today, so I want to continue to keep dreaming!
One of the biggest trends in kitchen remodeling is the “built-in” look; Electrolux offers a collection of counter-depth refrigerators designed to achieve that look. I can’t get enough of the built-in look. I have been threatening to rip our pantry out and build “built-in” cabinets in replace of our hideous wire-rack pantry! In my dream kitchen I would have tons of built-ins with counter-depth everything!
A few years back this would have been my dream kitchen. I was all in to all-things modern (and am still a little bit into the modern look but I’ve developed more of my own style now). I love how modern this kitchen looks–its fresh and clean and has tons of space. I’m all for the clean lines approach! Speaking about sleek… Electrolux Cooktops have a clean, sleek look that features induction technology that gives you the capabilities of a professional chef at home. Count me in. Some would call me a professional home chef (although I have no professional culinary training, lets get that straight)!
