Ok, so I might be about two weeks late on this, but better late than never, right? Plus, I’m trying to do a monthly update instead of a 3 month update like the last one that had five-million photos in it! There is no doubt that we have a very animated baby. The boy makes some of the craziest faces. I wonder who he gets it from? And he’s totally a busy-body just like both Jon and I. Here is his month update in photos and some words!
This is how I typically try to bang out a blog post during the day. I sit Ryder in the rock and play and I type away as fast as possible until he becomes fussy, and then I put him in my lap and type or edit photos one handed! I also sing like a crazy lady because you know–I’ve now become a professional singer and try to entertain while typing. So if you read my post somedays and they don’t quite make sense that might be why.
Ryder at his 4 month appointment. He’s now 12lbs 12oz and 24 inches long! Growing beautifully as the doctor said!
And to commemorate the appointment we went out to lunch. Didn’t think it was gonna happen, but Ryder did awesome with his shots, so lunch it was for these proud parents! And that’s Jon working and eating… that’s how he does things lately!
Ryder loves to flip on to his belly. It now almost happens instantly–as soon as I put him on his back he is on his belly!
I’ve also started taking walks at least once a day with Ryder. I wear him and then give our yorkie a walk around the park.
We also take Ryder swimming every Sunday at my in-laws house. He loves it!
This was his first time swimming in the pool. He loved it. Sadly–I missed the entire experience. I was taking a nap and no one bothered to wake me up!
I made Jon go back to the pool the next day so I could experience the pool with him. I propped my camera on the table with the timer on it so we could get a family photo.
First fourth of July!
And a family photo of us on the fourth of July plus our nephew Nicholas who insisted on being in our photo!
I caught Jon playing the guitar to Ryder a few weeks ago. The guitar resides in my craft room. Yes–it’s not always clean. Actually it’s 99% of the time a disaster zone as you can tell in the background!
This was us at our nephews baptism a few weeks ago. Ryder finally got to where his valor pants and sweater vest. Poor kid was sweating to death in the middle of summer. Oh and to make matters worse the church didn’t have AC that day!
I started introducing some new toys!
This was us watching the television show, Arthur, for the first time. I loved how he was holding his wubbanub and watching so seriously. He loved it. I try to limit tv time to less than a half hour a day.
That doll baby face.
Passed out…
Ryder started sitting in his Bumbo chair for the first time in July.
I put him in the kitchen while I cook during the day. Needless to say, Lola loves that he is at her height. And she tries to sneak in kisses. Ryder thinks she is hilarious and goes into the biggest belly laughs!
I’m continuing to work out three days a work at Baby Boot Camp Orlando. On days when Ryder isn’t happy I baby wear him and squat and do other exercises with him.
grainy selfies…
This was his reaction when I told him we were driving to Atlanta… only kidding. I just caught him mid-freak out! lol
His first blog conference. Needless to say he was kind of the talk of the conference.
Daddy likes to show him stuff on the iPad. As you can see Ryder is really engaged or maybe he is looking at something he’s not supposed to be? lol
We still like to play on our activity mat. I will sit next to him in his room and work on the computer!
He kind of loves watching Giada cook. What man doesn’t love to watch her?
Hard to believe that I snapped this morning selfing on July 1st. He’s grown so much in just one month. And those pajamas barely fit him now.
Stop growing sweet baby boy.
