I’m so excited to share the cutest little onesie I dreamed up. If your a parent you already know that your child becomes the boss from the minute they are born. Let’s just face it now. My friends at Cricut have a new cartridge being released in the next few weeks called “Trendy T-shirts” and they gave me a first glance look at it and asked me to design a few shirts. They also have quite a few new fonts out too! This was the first design I came up with and I absolutely love it. I didn’t have any white t-shirts on hand for my son, but I did have white onesies. So one of my awesome friends who has a little one will be receiving this onesie pretty soon.
Supplies:
- Cricut Explore
- Cricut Design Space™
- Cricut Mat
- Cricut Black Flocked Iron-On Vinyl
- Cricut Tools
- Onesie
- Iron or Heat Press
- Muslin Cloth
In Cricut Design Space™ I used the new Boys Will Be Boys font and the new squirrel on a bicycle design from the new Trendy T-Shirts cartridge. Since I knew I wanted to make this image all one color I welded the font and the image together so that it would cut together.
Then, I cut the flocked Iron-On Vinyl on my Cricut Explore. This was my first time working with flocked iron-on and I loved it! You don’t need to select a different setting. The traditional “iron-on” selection works fine.
Next, it’s time to weed the image. Using the Cricut weeding tool I carefully did this. I felt that the flocked was a little easier to weed than glitter and a little more difficult than the lite. But it wasn’t bad at all!
Next up, I fired up my Heat Press (it’s still not getting old–I love this piece of machinery)! And I pressed the image/phrase on to the onesie.
Then after my 10 seconds of pressing it was time to peel off the plastic.
Here you go… like a boss. Because we all know the littlest ones are so the boss!
