    Eze, France

Today, I’m going to introduce to a tiny little town off the coast of France. Meet Èze. It is not pronounce “easy” it’s pronounced “ez”.  Èze has been described as an “eagle’s nest” because of its location overlooking a high cliff 427 metres (1,401 ft) above sea level on the French Mediterranean. Èze, renowned tourist site on the French Riviera, is famous worldwide for the view of the sea from its hill top. This little village is one of 13 villages along the Route of Perched Villages on the French Riviera. Èze was our first stop in France during our day stop in Monaco. This village immediately, stole my heart. I knew that if all the places we were visiting that day were as beautiful as Èze that we were going to have the most amazing day ever.

Our tour van parked at the bottom of the hill in Èze. As we walked up steeps hills with short steps I spotted this building. It instantly reminded me of what Rapunzel’s castle would have looked like!

Some of the streets that we walked on looked just like this! Gorgeous little pebbles to form a beautiful mosaic foot path.

Fresh flowers were found everywhere. I particularly loved the square that these flowers resided in.

Eze, FranceI know what you are thinking… this looks like a painting. It’s not. I was there. This is the pure beauty of Eze, France!

I love this photo of Mr. Woodsy and I! We got so many great photos before the hustle and bustle before all the tours began.

As we wondered through the streets and alley ways this was a common view. People still live in this town.

Take a look at the views we got from above. Below us we noticed hundreds of statues. It was like a statue garden of sorts.

This right here is what Èze is known for. These beautiful photo opportunities where the mountains meet the ocean.

As we started walking back down to our tour van I snapped a few more photos. I loved the colors that the sun was giving us at this time in the morning. It was a bit overcast, which any photographer knows that is the most ideal time to photograph! We only spent an hour in Èze,  but it felt like we were there for so much longer. Next week, I’ll give you a glimpse of Nice, France.
