I have hosted Thanksgiving for over a decade now. I find that as it gets closer to our big dinner the kids begin to get antsy. Now that my children are in Elementary school and are starting to enjoy word searches I created this Printable Thanksgiving Word Search to keep them occupied and some of my other guest. Another fun activity for the kids is to make my pumpkin fishing game! This takes a little more time to construct, but makes for a fun educational game.

Directions
Simply download the free file below and send it to your printer. Once printed take a highlighter, pen, or even crayon and begin searching for the words. Once your done, you can check your answers against the answer key provided in the 2-page Thanksgiving word search file.

I have started giving my kids a word search as early as age 5. I show them one simple 3-4 letter word and then give them another to spot. Over time they will feel more confident doing word searches.
Yes, for the adults I will make this word search into a game. Everyone will have their paper turned over so no one can start to look. I’ll start a timer and everyone will start at the same time.
