Halloween 2015

Halloween Decorated House 2015

I just wanted to pop on and share a few photos from our Halloween plus wish everyone a belated Halloween. We've been a little quiet on the blog lately and we had good reasons. If you follow on Instagram you know that we were busy decorating our home. We found out this  morning that our home won "Best Overall House"! We weren't planning to decorate this year and then when we found out our neighborhood actually did a house decorating contest it was 100% GAME ON! Our neighborhood didn't know what … [Read more...]

Halloween Entryway 2015

Halloween Entryway 2015

Today, I'm finally sharing our Halloween entryway. Every year I love to decorate our entry way. In the years prior to baby I enjoyed decorating the entire house, now I no longer have time nor do I have patience for telling my mischievous toddler to stop touch, holding, etc... So I've resorted to decorating our entryway. This year we have a new entryway and although I didn't go as crazy as in past years, I did add a few of my past favorite decor items plus some new items from Martha Stewart … [Read more...]

“I Put a Spell On You…” Halloween Printable

I put a spell on you printable 1

One of my all time favorite Halloween movies is Hocus Pocus. I think the most iconic phrase from the movie is "I put a spell on you, and now you're mine!". I decided to turn it into a quick little printable to add to my existing Halloween decor. I love the font it's called Sortdecai Brush Script. It's not a free font. You have to buy it. My font addiction has went from free to now purchased and it's bad. Really bad!  If you are loving this printable as much as I am feel free to click the … [Read more...]

Easy Tweedle Family Costume

Easy Tweedle Family Costume + Baby

Earlier this year, we were invited to our friend's surprise Alice & Wonderland themed 30th Birthday party! We weren't sure what to do, but we knew we needed to dress up. That's when the idea of this Easy Tweedle Family Costume came to mind. I found red pants for us at Old Navy (yes, Jon is wearing women's pants) and then I ran over to Michael's Craft Store to pick up the yellow shirts, red hats, felt and pipe cleaners. The day of the party we got to work and made the collar, bow tie, and … [Read more...]

DIY Halloween Window Clings

DIY Halloween Window Clings

Get ready for pure childhood fun excitement. I just introduced my curious toddler to the wonderful world of window clings. Oh boy, did I get an amazing 30 minutes of pure entertainment. Gave me enough time to do the dishes and start dinner. This was my first time cutting window clings on my Cricut and it was awesome (and so easy to do)! I cut these window clings in less than 10 minutes all while Ryder was happily playing in his playroom. We recently set up my make-shift office and put a baby … [Read more...]

DIY Infant Strawberry Costume

DIY Infant Strawberry Costume

I can't believe it's October already. I've been meaning to share this adorable and easy-to-make DIY Infant Strawberry Costume for the past month. I whipped this up last year for Ryder just a few days before Halloween. As you are aware of by now, we love Halloween at my house. He had THREE costumes last year. Yes, three. We had one costume that was handed down to us. And then  one that we bought, and then I felt some mom-guilt and felt the need to make him a costume. I'm going to admit, I … [Read more...]

Halloween 2014

dragon baby costume and dog

Better late than never. Right? I had all intentions of posting a few photos on Halloween, but it was a bit crazy-town here, and to be honest I unplugged and enjoyed the day with my family. When your a blogger you rarely ever get to unplug and just enjoy life. So, that's my plans for future holidays and important life moments. I'm slowly coming to terms that not everything has to be shared the minute/ hour/ day it happened.  I know it's been quiet last week on Sew Woodsy. I was working on last … [Read more...]

DIY Glitter Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater Pillow

DIY Glitter Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater Pillow

I've been working on this pillow for over a month now. True story--that's life with a baby. I've been weeding this glitter iron-on vinyl for a few weeks and finally committed to getting it done before Halloween has came and past. So at least I'll get to enjoy my pillow for the next week until I have to pack it up. Well technically I can keep this pillow up until Thanksgiving. I went with a nursery rhyme phrase for this autumn inspired pillow. I read a lot of nursery rhymes these days and I felt … [Read more...]
